This bracelet represents a grasshopper as if it came from a cabinet of curiosities. This jewel is of French artisanal manufacture, in silver 925‰.
Made in Roanne
This bracelet is from the line Entomologywhich declines insects in the manner of ancient entomological frameworks. Entomology is a science born in the 18th century, first called insectology. Entomological frames are very emblematic of the cabinets of curiosities, the universe of Res Mirum.
It is a cricket which is represented on this bracelet, in detail and in 3 dimensions, inside a square shaped frame. Just below the insect is a small plaque with its Latin name (Omocestus) engraved in very small letters.
The frame is attached on each side to a chain that slides in 2 rings, to allow it to be a little offset on the wrist, as a painting hanging on a wall could be a little tilted ...
The element is engraved Res Mirum on the back.
On request, it is possible to choose among 4 other insects: the bee, the spider, the bug and the Isabelle moth. These insects can be seen on the Insecta collar.
The chain that ends this bracelet also slides through the rings; it is finished at one end with a silver label signed "Res Mirum" on the front, "Bijouterie de Curiosités" on the back. It is a round, sturdy chain made in France.
The square pattern is 16 mm square, the bracelet is 16 cm plus 2 cm extension chain.
The chain is made of round forçat, a robust chain made in France.
