This bracelet is from the line Museum.
In French, the word Muséum is used only to refer to Natural History Museums; for the rest, it is called Musée. The Museums came into being in 1791, succeeding the cabinets of curiosities, in response to the need to classify in a more coherent and scientific manner the collections hitherto presented in the cabinets of curiosities.
It is this atmosphere of the Natural History Museums that the line retranscribes, through the animal kingdom represented by different species, and ancient moulded frames.
It is a black beetle (Anoplotrupes in Latin) which is represented on this rigid rush bracelet, in a frame with baroque - rococo influences. Sacred symbol in particular in ancient Egypt, the beetle belongs to the order of beetles which represents the largest number of species in the world, incredibly diverse in size, shape and colour... Anoplotrupes is a common beetle found in Europe, whose shape lends itself well to being represented on this jewel. If you are curious to know more about it, take a look at to our article !
The bracelet features the Res Mirum signature engraved on the back; the oval body, designed in the baroque spirit of the frame, is 2 cm open to slide it onto the wrist and adjust it if necessary.
The central baroque picture element is 27 mm high.
The oval shape of this bangle can be adapted to a certain extent to different wrist shapes with a maximum circumference of 17 cm.
