Graphosoma thumbtack ring
77,36$ – 83,22$
This ring, in the style of a riveted retro signet ring, evokes a naturalized thumbtack in a frame. This jewel is of French artisanal manufacture, in silver 925‰.
Made in Roanne
This ring is from the line Entomologywhich declines insects in the manner of ancient entomological frameworks. Entomology is a science born in the 18th century, first called insectology. Entomological frames are very emblematic of the cabinets of curiosities, the universe of Res Mirum.
The shape of this jewel evokes that of an ancient signet ring. The openwork and architectural structure, profiled at the bottom of the body, is created to be consistent with the shapes of the entomological frames; 2 small plates on each side, engraved "Res" and "Mirum" recall the plates usually found at the bottom of the frames to indicate the name of the insect. The head of the ring represents a square frame with a harlequin bug inside, accurately represented in relief. The harlequin bug is a very beautiful and unusual specimen, red with black stripes on the back and black dots on the belly.
Beneath the insect is a small plate with its Latin name Graphosoma engraved in very small letters.
On request, it is possible to replace the bedbug with another insect among the bee, spider, cricket and Isabella moth, which can be seen on the Insecta collar.
The square ring head is 16 mm square.
Two adjustable sizes are available:
